Being courteous and respectful to others is not always prevalent in today’s world. It’s something that I am endeavoring to change in my own life. Why not let someone over when they have a blinker on instead of speeding up to make sure they can’t get in front of you? Or taking your buggy (shopping cart to non-Southerners) back to the corral? Holding the door open for someone walking behind you? Picking up the trash you dropped? Putting the grocery store item back where you got it when you change your mind? Picking up the blouse that fell off the hanger in the mall? What about getting an item for a person off a shelf…even a bottom shelf…for someone who is obviously having issues, or in a motorized roundabout?
What about being gracious to the server who spills a drink on you? To the officer who gives you a ticket for running a red light…that you didn’t run? Yeah…that one is a hard one. Not sure I’m there yet. A work in progress…aren’t we all?
Random G thought:
The name “Gomer” is in the Bible. Twice. One is a son of Japheth. The other Gomer I’ll tell you about tomorrow.
Word of the Day:
Lacking intelligence, sense or discernment, often implying lack of capacity of will to remedy the condition. Inexperienced, naïve, innocent to the point of foolishness
This is one of those times when I should be gracious instead of saying what I think (I need to practice what I preach, I know), but stupidity gets on my one good nerve.
